Harry was the son of Miles and Emma Booth. Following the death of his mother in 1899, he was living with Harry and Edith Eagland; subsequently taking their surname. He emigrated to Australia where he enlisted in the Australian Infantry (A.I.F.) serving as a Private with the 8th Battalion.

 

He was killed on 4th October 1917 and is commemorated at Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium, memorial reference Panel 7 - 17 - 23 - 25 - 27 - 29 - 31. (CWGC)

Also of John Bentley Drake, who died May 23rd 1900, aged 43 years.

Also of Harry, the beloved son of the Emma Booth, who was killed in action in France October 4th 1917, aged 22 years.
